Insider sources have informed www.calitown.com that the Radio Station of former NNPC Managing Director of Crude, Abuja, Prince Goddy-Jedy Agba, earlier billed to commence transmission on October 1, 2016 will now commence transmission on November 1, 2016.
“As we speak, the station’s mast has arrived Nigeria and in the next couple of days we will work on bringing it to Calabar. It is a 240 kilometers radius mast and will cover all of Cross River State, four other states in Nigeria and a considerable part of Southern Camerouns”, the source said.
On the issues surrounding the recent Cross River State government’s decision to stall the station’s initial October 1, 2016, commencement of operations date, the source said, “we will join no issues with the state government, we are committed instead to delivering an FM station that will be the pride of Cross River State. We are presently addressing the contentious issues and we know that our efforts will be the bomb in the end”.
On whether the station will deliver quality entertainment, news and independent views to listeners, the source was quick to point out that, “we will not disappoint and the station will deliver top of the range information and entertainment to a broad spectrum of listeners”.
Recall that the Cross River State Government recently sealed the premises of Agba’s radio station under the guise that authorities of State Urban Planning Authority did not grant the station structural approval.
